Realtors who can record listing presentations on a CD or DVD enjoy a strong advertising medium and unique product not offered by many competitors. For others, learning to record data on a CD or DVD represents a way to economically store data. But it's not always easy to produce your own movies, even if it's just a listing presentation; and to save data, you must first understand how the recorders work. Consequently, this month's feature article on CD and DVD recording covers a number of questions called in by members.
Should you buy a CD or DVD burner?
Many Realtors feel they must create their own CDs or DVDs just to remain
competitive. But if you're considering this tech upgrade, realistically
appraise how much demand you'll have for the advanced style of data storage

on them.) In practical terms, it could include your listings, a promotional
video, virtual tours, a backup of your finances or other functions.

Cool Tools: Presentation Software
It's no longer enough to have a Web site and a list of statistics. To make your listings and your business stand out from the crowd, consumers will judge you on how you present your information. It's good to hand potential sellers a list of recent home sales in their neighborhood. It's better to hand them a full-color chart. But it's best to give them a presentation that could animate that chart, or spin it, or make it clickable for more information on each statistic.
